A pair of semi-detached houses. Early C19. White brick with a
slate roof and plain projecting eaves.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys and basements. 2 window range: 16-pane
sashes to the ground and 1st storeys; 8-pane sashes to the top
storey, all in flush cased frames with flat gauged arches and
projecting sills. Two 6-panelled doors, up steps, have the top
2 panels glazed. Rectangular fanlights, No.42 with
intersecting glazing-bars. Doorcases with plain reveals,
panelled architraves and cornices. The basement windows, with
segmental-arched heads to the openings, rise from pavement
level below the ground-storey windows.
