James chest tomb at approx 10m -south of tower of Church of
St Maugan

Chest tomb. Early C19. Dressed granite monolith sides with incised slate monolith slab insert.
Rectangular on plan.
Inscriptions to: Eleanor James, daughter of William and Elizabeth James of Lemarth, died 1825 aged 24, with the following epitaph:
Swiftly our moments haste away With evry heaving breath
And swiftly hastens on the day When we must sink in death
and Joseph Harriet Ruberry, died 9th December 1840 aged 4 years 4 months.
