Small house. Circa late C17 or early C18. Painted, rubble and cob. Wheat reed
thatched roof. Brick chimneys over large external rubble stacks at the gable ends.
Roof sweeps lower over pantry outshut at rear.
Plan: 2 room plan with lobby entrance between the rooms leading to dog-leg stair.
Behind the stair and approached from the probable kitchen on the left is a later
pantry outshut. Left of the pantry is a shallower probable furze cupboard
projection.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Nearly symmetrical 2-window front with approximately central
doorway set back within old painted rubble outshut porch with thatched roof. C20
ledged door. Very small window openings. First floor windows are closer together
and set right under the eaves. Circa late C18 or C19 12-pane 2-light casement (with
centre-hung opening light) at first-floor right, otherwise later casements with
glazing bars.
Interior: Not inspected.
