SX 45 NW ANTONY UPPER WILCOVE

3/39 Pato House

GV II

House. Circa 1830 with some later alterations. Rubble, rendered and lined out,
asbestos slate roof with gable end stacks with caps.
Double depth plan with central entrance hall containing open-well stair to rear left:
principal rooms to front right and left. Service rooms to rear and small 2-storey
service wing to rear left.
2 storeys on plinth, symmetrical, with 3 windows, 3 central bays broken forward under
pedimant with central bay slightly recessed, all C20 PVC windows in original
apertures, French window to right; central Greek Doric portico, glazed to front and
sides, with inner panelled and glazed floor. Left side has ground floor 16-pane sash
to kitchen, single light at first floor. Right side has 2-light casement at ground
floor right. Rear has central panelled and glazed door with 9-pane light to left and
20-pane sash to right, 3 windows at first floor with stair light set lower to centre,
2 to left PVC, one to right a 16-pane sash. Small 2-storey integral service wing to
right with 3-light C20 window at ground floor and 9-pane sash at first floor, single
storey C20 addition to end to two 6-pane lights.
Interior Central passage has 6-panelled door to left and right with panelled cheeks
and soffit, open-well stair to rear left with stick balusters and column newels,
moulded ramped handrail. Archway at ground and first floor with panelled pilasters
to sides. Room to front right has moulded cornice with bowed rear wall.
