Tide mill. Probably C18, with C19 and C20 alterations. Random slatestone rubble
with corrugated asbestos roof with gable ends.
The mill faces the sea, formerly with a mill pond on the landward side. There are
no sluice arches remaining on the water side.
2 storeys, landward side has two 2-light windows at first floor with brick segmental
heads. Lower 2-storey addition to left with C20 external stair to C20 door; single
storey C20 addition to left end. Right end has C20 double doors. The water side has
two 2-light windows with brick segmental heads at ground and first floor. Door and
upper window in lower block to right.
Interior Not inspected.
The mill is used as a boat shed, and a quay has been built out on the water side.
The mill was disused from about 1905, the lock gate was closed and mill pond filled
