House. Early C19. Rendered and roughcast walls with slate roof and rendered stacks
to right gable end and to front of service block. 2-storey double-depth block with
single-storey service wing to left. Main block has 2-window front with
pointed-arched surrounds to 12/12-pane sashes with decorative Gothic-style
arrangement of glazing bars to heads; 9-pane casement to raking dormer. 6-panelled
door set in fine doorcase with reeded pilasters and lozenges to frieze under cornice.
8/8-pane sashes to front of service wing. Interior not inspected but noted as having
early C19 features. Unusually rich treatment for a house of this size. There is a
tradition that it was built for an estate bailliff.
