4/20 The Old Zetland School.
G.V. II
School,1871, now a private house. Dressed sandstone with quoins. Welsh
slate roofs. Single storey, 3 bays. Central projecting porch has
round-headed doorway with moulded head, faceted keystone, flat pilasters,
block capitals, and renewed double ½-glazed doors and fanlight under stepped
gable. Similar surrounds to paired round-headed windows with hopper lights.
String course at eaves continued across porch. Hipped roofs. Similar
windows in returns of porch, below embattled parapet. Long rear wing,
gabled at north end, in keeping.
