6/44 Tanyard Farmhouse

Farmhouse, early C18. Brick, pebbledashed late C20, with graded grey
slate roof and flush brick chimney at each gable. 2 storeys plus
attics; 2 windows. Replacement near-flush 6-pane casements with stone
cills. Boarded door under open porch on shaped brackets, probably
late C19. One leaded window at rear, probably early C18.
Interior. Oak purlins and many chamfered oak beams; broad-board doors
with C18 H-hinges and old latches. Good C19 pine dog-leg stair: two
early C18 oak balusters and rail to top landing. Openings between
stair and back attic bedrooms. Windows to attics introduced mid C20.
