SJ 55 NW PECKFORTON PECKFORTON GAP

1/11 The Gap

II

Cottage, late C17. Whitened stone with tile roof. Single storey and
attic, 2 bays. Ledged and battened door. Flush 2-light casements
with glazing bars, those at first floor level in gabled half dormers
with timbered apexes. The west gable has an exposed oak truss with
curved principal rafters. West gable-end stack. The east gable is of
stone, without timbers, and this section is thought to be a later
addition.
Interior: Inglenook and exposed beams.
