Cottage, formerly farmhouse, probably late C17 cased in brick C19.
Brick and sandstone on flush sandstone plinth; thatched roof. 1
storey plus attic bedrooms. 4-pane windows of C19 vernacular type in
camber-arched openings. Replaced framed and boarded door in plastered
slate-roofed gabled porch. Slate-roofed rear wing left, probably early
C19. Gabled rear porch right.
Lobby entrance plan, formerly with back-to-back inglenooks, that right
of front porch survives with cambered oak bressumer; chamfered oak
beams in some rooms; replaced stair behind inglenooks.
