2/139 The Kennels
II
House, 1896, with former Kennels (q.v.). L shaped 2 storey 3 bay house
of hard red brick (with slightly jettied upper storey) and grey slate
roofs with red tile ridges. Blue diapering to walls. Red terracotta
copings to shaped gables. 2 chimneys with circular spiral-moulded
flues. Iron casements (leaded glazing survives in upper panes) in
mullioned openings of moulded brick with ogee heads. Small modern
window in east gable. Framed, braced and boarded door with leaded
glazing in small top panels. This was the Eaton Estate kennels house.
