A picturesque range of late C16 or early C17 former cottages with later
alterations. Painted roughcast to earlier timber frame revealed on gabled
ends and at rear; one storey and attic; 2 gabled dormers with C19 iron
casements and 2 C19 rectangular dormers with casement windows and slate
pentice roofs; slate roof with old stone slates to rear fall. Ground
storey generally altered with C19 and modern shop fronts. Timber framing
of gabled ends, which rest on stone base, unusually well-preserved.
Nos 6 to 12 (even) form a group with No I Wagg Street.
