II

Primary school 1878 (in tablet in front gable) now "Scout Hut" brown bricks
with stone dressing and stone slate roof. Single storey 4 bays "L" plan in
Jacobean style. Weathered stone plinth, flush quoins and moulded string
course, stepped over windows, stone dressed mullion windows with wooden casements.
Gothic stone dressed and moulded door opening in east gable containing boomed door
with false strap hinges. Crest over window in front gable has three carved birds.
The east gable has an elaborate bell canopy cantelevered from the apex. East and west
gables have stone finials.
