6/14 Churchyard Wall and
Gates, Church of St John
the Baptist

GV II

Wall and gates, circa 1866. Red sandstone and oak. The wall is of
squared snecked rubble with a moulded flush coping and square
monolithic gateposts, chamfered and gabled. Each of the pair of gates
to Church Lane is of 6 panels with stop-chamfered posts and rails; the
lower panels are braced and contain plain iron dogbars. Stone steps
into churchyard in western part of wall.
