One building. Late C17 with early C18 frontage. 2 storeys with attics
in hipped tile roof, n<dern shop front ground floor separated by
carriageway. Timber framed with flush plaster. 1st floor has at each
end of front panelled pilaster with Ionic cap. At eaves enriched.
Wooden cornice with carved modillion brackets. 5 windows, 3 southernmost
with moulded wood architraves, two northernmost early C19 bow windows
with reeded pilasters at sides, all with glazing bars. 3 flat-topped
dormers in attics. No. 26, moulded cornice at 1st floor level. Good
interior features. RCHM.
Nos. 6 to 28 (even) form a group.
