Description

SHEPRETH FOWLMERE ROAD
TL 3947
(South west side)

Summer-house at
Tyrell's Hall
GV II

Gothick summer house. Early C19. Timber framed, and flint rubble. Slate
roof. Two centred moulded arch to opening and round corner turret with loop
openings. (The embattlement was demolished in a storm). The garden
buildings at Tyrells Hall are probably associated with the remodelling of the
house (q.v.) and the emparking of the grounds in 1825.
