Milestone. 1730. Stone, painted white with black lettering and
Roman numerals. Square with domed top. Shield of arms of
Trinity Hall, Cambridge, above inscription "VII MILES TO
CAMBRIDGE A.D. MDCCXXX" and a hand with pointing finger. One of
the milestones set up under the Trust founded to administer a
bequest from Dr Mowse, Master of Trinity Hall, Cambridge,
1562-3, for the upkeep of the highways in and about Cambridge.
