9/5 Cuckoo Pastures Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C16 with c.1700 and early C19 additions. Timber
framed and plastered, red brick and early C19 brick, plain tile
roofs. Two storeys and one storey and attic. C16 three unit
plan farmhouse rebuilt at service end and with parallel range to
street forming double pile c.1700, parlour end rebuilt and
street range extended in early C19. Dentil and sawtooth brick
eaves cornice, bands at floor levels and plinth. East gable
with pair of tumbled brick parapets and oval windows. Street
elevation with three first floor casement windows and two ground
floor casement windows in segmental brick arches, extension to
west of one bay with four-paned hung sash windows recessed at
each floor, C19 wooden doorcase and five-panelled, half-glazed
door. Interior. Three inglenook hearths, one ovolo moulded
ceiling beam, some substantial, exposed timbers.
