Farmhouse, originally substantially timber framed of three unit
plan, rebuilt and extended in late C18. Staircase hall at rear
early C19 addition. Soft red local brick, partly casing early
building in lower range to right hand. Gauged brick window
arches. Slate roof with end stacks to symmetrical five 'bays'.
Boarded eaves. Two storeys. Five first floor twelve-paned hung
sash windows and four similar ground floor windows.
Six-panelled mahogany door with patterned rectangular fanlight,
wooden architraves with projecting cornice. Flanking shaped
garden walls with stone copings. Interior has exposed timber
frame of original building, C17 inglenook hearth with sealed
baking oven; good open string staircase with raking mahogany
hand rail.
