Park House
II
House, with initials C.T. (Clement Trafford) in wrought iron to west gable end,
probably built c.1780 with a crosswing and other alterations of 1855. Local brick,
mainly red, on plinth with tuck pointing to broad mortar courses. Steeply pitched
roof of slates, with tumbled gable end parapets and end stacks. L-plan. Two storeys
and attics. Three c.1855 gabled dormers. Stone sills and cambered arches to range of
three recessed hung sashes with glazing bars. Two canted bays with tent roofs of lead
on either side of central doorway with broken pediment, dentil moulding and moulded
architrave. Door of six raised and fielded panels with round-headed fanlight with
intersecting glazing bars. Inside the staircase and doors are nearly all original.
