House. C16 with C20 additions. Timber frame with exposed cruck trusses
to gables, and whitewashed brick, flint and plaster infill. Old tile roof,
flanking brick chimneys with crooked shafts, the right chimney totally
rebuilt 1985. One storey and attic, 2 bays. C20 wooden casements,
2-light to ground floor left, remainder 3-light. Upper windows are in
gabled dormers. C20 board door to left of centre. C20 whitewashed brick
extension set back to left; tall C20 tile-hung jettied bay to centre rear.
Interior has central cruck truss with large curved braces from Transverse
sill beam to cruck blades; both bays have traces of very early upper
floors. Cruck blades terminate just above the collars.
