Probably mid C18. Tiny structure, rendered with tiled roof, copy of original oak
door, (now in the museum), sash window in rear wall, oval window in east gable,
built-in benches inside. Used by Cowper as a retreat and for writing. 'John Gilpin'
and most of 'The Task' were written here.
