3/96 Pair of Statues S. of Hartwell House

GV II

Statues of a classical god and goddess each with large birds. Early C18
originally on each side of the south end of the Long Canal on the east
side of Hartwell House. Moved to present site flanking main southern
access of house, probably mid C18. Each stone statue stands on a
square stone base with moulded plinth and cornice.
