House. Early C19. Vitreous brick, much set in header bond, with
red brick dressings. Shallow pitched pyramidal slate roof with widely
projecting eaves, the soffit panelled, supported on curved brackets.
Flanking brick chimneys 3 storeys over cellar. 3 bays of 4-pane wide sash
windows set in reveals with gauged red brick flat arches. Central
semicircular arched 6-flush panel door with radiating fanlight, 3 steps.
Sun Insurance firemark to RH side. South elevation has 2 bays of
sashes, the RH bay with blind windows, large square bay window to
ground floor. 1-storey shop wing to LH with timber framing and colourwashe
brick infill. Interior (of house) hall with two fluted half columns
with Corinthian capitals, ground floor room has marble chimneypiece.
Round headed arch to staircase which has continuous curved handrail.
Rear ground floor room has carved wood chimneypiece.
