Pair of terraced houses with attached railings. c1820-50. Ashlar over brick with slate roof with wrought- and iron railings, porches and window guards. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with basement, 4 first-floor windows (2:2). First- and second-floor bands. 6/6 sashes where original with 3/6 throughout sashes to second floor, basement has 8/8 sashes; all in plain reveals and with sills. End entrances: 6-panel, part-glazed doors with fanlights. Crowning frieze and cornice. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: spearhead railings with urn finials to stanchions probably supplied by Wheeler; scroll and lozenge motif to porches with scrolled openwork friezes. Window guards to first floor have rods embellished with star motif and lattice frieze with central panel of scrolled ornament.
