6/160 Linhay approximately 200m west of
- Escot
GV II

Linhay or piggery. Mid C19, the south end rebuilt after collapse in 1987. English
bond red brick with slate roof.
This L-plan linhay or piggery has been adapted for fish tanks and a shop. The main
range faces the coach house and stables (q.v.) to the east. It is 11 bays; a 2-
tier arcade of round-headed arches, the upper stage serving the tallet or feed loft.
A block projects forward from the right end containing first a bay similar to the
main range, then the shop has been made by adapting some other kind of agricultural
building.
Interior has plain carpentry detail.
This linhay is part of a good group of outbuildings in the landscaped park near
Escot (q.v.).
