- south-west of Higher Combe
Farmhouse
GV II

Ash house. C19 or earlier. Granite rubble. Conical stone roof with covering of
C20 thatch. Round building. Doorway at front has lintel and jambs of large pieces
of granite; plank door with strap-hinges. At rear a small opening, with wrought-
iron door, presumably for inserting the ashes. Interior has been plastered.
