Built between 1845 and 1848 by William Butterfield. Arranged around a courtyard. 2 to 3 storeys knapped flint with stone window dressings and quoins. Tiled roof with massive flint arid stone stacks. In the centre of the courtyard is a Victorian drinking fountain of ragstone with a cross, spire and quatrefoil ornaments.
No 1, wall adjoining No 1 to right, water pump opposite No 1, No 2, Nos 4 to 18 (even), St Augustine's College, Hall, Chapel, The Cemetery Gateway, The Great Gateway, wall in front of St Augustine's form a group.
