SALTERGATE (North Side)
Nos 91 to 97 (odd)

Early C19. Red brick terrace with stuccoed plinth and moulded eaves. Slate roof with coped gable ends and kneelers. Three storeys. Seven windows in all generally sashes with glazing bars but those of Nos 91 and 97 converted to top light opening and top two floors of No 95 (west side) have modern glazing in older sash spaces. Doors have elliptical arches with keystones, impost bands and fanlights with tracery. The doors of Nos 93 and 95 linked by a stuccoed panel containing narrow arched entrance to rear. Arch has iron gate with spear head finials. (The south facade of No 2 Marsden Street forms the end of terrace qv).
