Range of barn and stables with flat above eastern section. Early C19 with later
alterations. Coursed, squared, gritstone, with random, dressed, gritstone rubble
to later alteration,gritstone dressings and quoins. Stone slate roofs, except slate
roof to later alteration,which is hipped to east end, with stone coped gables and
moulded kneelers and two ridge stone stacks to eastern range. Two storeys, L-plan,
four bay east range with gabled bays to either side and six bay south range. East
elevation has flush quoined doorcase with recessed door to north. Adjoining, to
south, a 3-light recessed and chamfered mullion window with dripmould. Beyond, to
south, an adjoining pair of segmental headed archways with projecting keystones and
plank doors. Lower, similarly shaped doorcase to south with stable door and thin
window immediately above. Over, four regularly placed 3-light recessed and
chamfered mullion windows with dripmoulds and leaded lights. Southern range has
central stable door with windows either side to east, with 3-light recessed and
chamfered window above. To west, C19 stable,raised to two storeys in C20. Central
flush quoined stable door with pairs of windows either side and inserted door to
far west. Above, three hayloft openings. Beyond, to west, barn with C20 double
doors to east and window and doorcase to west. Above central window, a stable door.
