The Old Forge
GV II
House. C18. Rubble limestone and gritstone with gritstone dressings, projecting
quoins, coved eaves, coped gables, end ridge stacks and Welsh slate roof. Two
storeys, three bays with 2-light flush mullioned windows in projecting stone
frames. Ground floor window, at east end a 3-light mullioned opening. C20
casements with leaded lights. Central doorway with quoined surround, C20
panelled door with rectangular fanlight above. Blocked doorway to west of
present door, lower, and with massive lintel and quoined surround.
