7/168 Hazel Street Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C15. Timber-framed, clad in red brick in Flemish bond,
first floor with applied studs and brick infilling. Bay to either
end tile-hung on first floor, ground floor of left end flint with
brick dressings, ground floor of right end chequered red and
grey brick. Plain tile roof. 5 bays: open hall of 2 unequal
bays with storeyed end to left and probably storeyed end to right.
Right end rebuilt, probably in late C18. Bay added to left
probably C19. 2 storeys on rendered plinth. Roof hipped both
ends. Multiple brick stack in front slope of roof off-centre
to left. Irregular fenestration of 5 C20 casements. Cross-ribbed
door slightly to right of stack under plain porch. Interior has
moulded end of hall beam, large inglenook fireplace, exposed
beams and posts and probably crown-post roof. -
