House. Probably late C17 with C19 alterations. Limewashed stone rubble with
slate roof. 2 storeys, 5 bays, the 1st 2 bays C19 barn conversion. 1st 2 bays
have paired windows with sandstone surrounds and sashes with glazing bars. 3rd
bay has horizontally sliding sash with glazing bars, small-paned fixed glazing
to window to right and fire window to left; 5th bay has 2-light recessed
flat-faced mullioned window. 1st floor has horizontally sliding sashes with
glazing bars. Entrance to 4th bay has glaze of door. Segmental-headed barn
entrance between 1st and 2nd bays. Gable-end stacks and cross-axial stack.
Rear has outshut under catslide roof, window with small-paned fixed glazing; to
right a lean-to outshut. Left return has lean-to privy with entrance to rear;
2 holes to seat, one small. Right return has 2 entrances. Interior partially
inspected, has heck partition, cornice to fireplace and spice cupboard said to
be dated 1757.
