GV II

House. Early C19. Gault brick, roofed with slate. Square plan facing NW, with
one stack in left return wall and one at rear right. Single-storey wing to left
rear. 2 storeys. 2-window range of sashes of 16 lights, original, with some
crown glass. Central half-glazed door in porch with 2 columns and plain
architraves, and one sash of 12 lights above it. Giant pilasters of brick near
the corners. Low-pitched hipped roof with long overhang, and perforated floral
patterns in eaves boards. Engraved stone tablet in left return wall, 'Old
English' lettering, apparently 'I.S.S. 1829'.
