A timber-framed and plastered house built in the second half of the C16, on
a T shaped plan. Added to in the C17 and altered in the C18. 2 storeys and attics. The upper storey is jet tied at the south end of the east front. 3
gables of varying sizes project on the east front and 2 are jet tied on the lst storey. A wing extends east at the north end. 8 window range overall, (arranged 3:3:2) , double hung sashes with glazing bars, in flush cased frames. The centre gable has a Venetian window. 2 gabled wings extend west at the rear, one has
a jet tied upper storey and a C17 square chimney stack with 2 tiled offsets and
diagonal shafts. The doorway has an original 4-centred doorhead and a battened and nailed door. Roofs tiled. The interior has a number of original features
including C17 panelling, fireplace and exposed ceiling beams. RCHM, (7).
