CRANBROOK HIGH STREET TQ 7735 NW (north side) 11/175 Causton Cottage and 20.6.67 Hope Cottage GV II

House, now 2 cottages. C16, clad in C18. Timber framed, clad in red brick on ground floor and tile hung on first floor. Steep plain tiled roof with small hip of rear wing appearing over ridge to left. Tall red brick stack in centre of ridge. Probable baffle entry plan, now divided. 2 storeys. Irregular fenestration of 4 windows on first-floor with 3 small bays on ground floor, 2 to right and 1 to left. 2 doors to left of centre, that to right boarded with centre-light, that to left panelled with top-lights glazed. Flat hood over both. Interior: Substantial timber frame with heavily jowled posts.
