House, formerly barn. Late C16 extended on 3 sides and reroofed in C18 and
restored late C20. Timber framed and weather-boarded on sandstone base. Plain
tiled roof. Hipped main roof, with secondary pitch to aisle outshot, with central
hipped midstrey, and catslide outshots to left and to right. Present entry front
(rear elevation of barn) with single pitch roof, no aisle. Inserted late C20
casements throughout, glazed midstrey, and boarded doors. Interior: 5 bays with
former cow byre and cart shed outshots, main frame with jowled posts and chamfered
wall plate beams with run-out stops, with curved braces to tie beams and wall
posts. 'C20 scientific King-post roof above tie beams replacing C18 collar beam
with through purlins'.
