STANWAY HAILES SP 03 SE 4/114 Two monuments, in the churchyard, about lm south of east end of chancel, Hailes parish church GV II Two chest tombs. Second half C18. Ashlar stone. Two adjoining identical monuments: flat lid, moulded edge, wide, rectangular pilaster ends, framing sides: north side northern monument, south side southern bluish, slatey slab in frame of stone; adjoining sides fielded panel. Moulded top to bases. Inscriptions on bluish slabs, partly weathered off: one to wife of William Marshall, 179-, other 176-.
