Parish church. 1839-40, by John Elliott, 1857 south aisle by Colson, 1892
north aisle by Blomfield. Flint walling, with stone and cement dressings,
plain arched openings, flat buttresses, and eaves and brackets. Slate roof.
A Norman style building, having a nave of 3 bays, with a west-end gallery,
wide north and south aisles, chancel. The chief feature of the church is a
tall west gable, with a gabled bell turret, corner turrets with octagonal
spires above open framework, an open narthex with stairs on each side leading
to external gallery doors, and a plain arched entrance. Simple round-arched
interior.
