Small detached house. C16. Box timber framing on rubble plinth and with
rendered panels, squared limestone north gable wall thatched roof with
gable stack south end. 1½ storeys, 3-windowed at ground floor 3-light
and two 2-light casements, those to right at differing levels of cill
height central 6 panel part glazed door under small flat hood and over
is 2-light casement in eyebrow. West front has 2-light casements, and
small 2-light casement left of door. Interior has rough chamfered beams,
good half-timbered wall to right of entrance, large rebuilt fireplace, left,
tight winder stair opposite door. East side reputed to have lath and
plaster infil panels. Sometime known as Shepherd's Cottage.
