SO 8600-8700 MINCHINHAMPTON WEST END, Minchinhampton Town
(south side)

19/311 Murrays of Minchinhampton

GV II

House and shop on street corner. Late C17 or early C18, refronted
early C19. Coursed rubble limestone - all painted; ashlar
chimneys; stone slate roof. Two storey with attic, L-plan. North
front: facetted curve to street corner left with 3 upper floor 12-
pane sashes; 3 further 12-pane sashes to right, all with sill
band. Later shop front principally faces north but is carried
round street corner. Two former ground floor sash window openings
to right now with plain shop windows. Two gabled attic dormers
with timber casements. Roof hipped at corner. East front (to Well
Hill): 3-window fenestration, all 12-pane sashes. Roughly central
doorway with recessed door. One gabled attic dormer. Three ridge-
mounted chimneys with moulded caps. Interior not inspected.
Important position at crossroads.
