(a) Square pedestal tomb. 1801, to Captain James Gardner. Sandstone and lime-
stone. Square domed capping, formerly with finial, on 3-step capping to moulded
edge, all in sandstone, over badly weathered limestone chest section with quar-
ter balusters, fluted and moulded frieze, bolstered panels, on sandstone moulded
base and 2-step platform, formerly railed. Not now legible, but 1879 survey
records Gardner. Treated with silicone spray in 1973.
(b) Headstone c.2 m south of last. Mid C18, limestone. Shaped top, 2 cherub
heads, floral margins, raised panel mould swept out at foot. Not legible.
