Former school and school house, now 2 houses semi-detached,
D
Coachmans Cottage (left) initialled and dated T E 1721 in raised
lettering on stone above door, fenestration altered mid-late C19 to
match mid-late C19 School House (right). Coachmans Cottage; main
body, large blocks of coursed squared and dressd limestone
otherwise both properties small coursed squared and dressed
limestone with ashlar quoins. Concrete tile and slate roofing.
Ashlar stacks and brick stack. Coachmans Cottage; 2 storeys and
garret, single storey extension right as far as downpipe. School
House; 2 storeys, single storey left, 2 storey parts 2-windowed,
linked by 3-windowed single storey section. All windows Tudor-
Gothic style, 2 and 3-lights with stopped hoods and diamond leaded
panes. C19 plank door within 'Tudor'-arched surround central to
C18 main body of Coachmans Cottage, similar door to single-storey
and lower left of 2-storey part of School House. Gable-end stacks
to Coachmans Cottage, axial stacks to single-storey section right
and School House.
