The Old Rectory
II
Former detached vicarage now in 4 occupations. C18, C19 and C20.
Coursed squared and dressed limestone, stone slate roof, ashlar
stacks. Rectangular C18 main body with C20 stairs projection at
rear, later C18 extension onto left gable end. C19 extension onto
right gable-end. Garden front of main body; 2 storeys and attic
lit by 3 gabled dormers from eaves. Symmetrical 3-windowed facade
with large C20 two-light casements with horizontal glazing bars
within plain architraves, to ground floor, similar smaller
casements to first floor. Similar windows to single bay 2-storey
C18 extension. 2-windowed C19 extension; 2 storeys and attic lit by
2 small circular windows, 12-pane sashes in facade, Central part-
glazed front door with 2-fielded panels at bottom, 3-pane light
over door, plain architrave with keystone imposts and triangular
pediment. Gable-end stacks to main body and extensions lower right
and left all with moulded cappings and ceramic chimney pots.
