14/75 Milestone set into wall,
about 9m west of No 34
GV II

Milestone. Probably mid/late C18, Bath to Cirencester road
turnpiked in 1743. Single rounded stone slab about lm high with
attached iron plate painted white and embossed lettering in black.
Inscription reads "XVI / To CIRENCESTER / VI / To TETBURY / XVII /
To BATH".
