4/168 Macaroni Downs Farmhouse
II
Formerly 2 houses in row, now detached farmhouse. Early C19; mid-
late C19 additions. Coursed rubble limestone; ashlar and brick
rebuilt chimneys; stone slate roof, concrete tile and artificial
stone to rear. Two-storey with attic; return wing at west end.
Front: central part of elevation probably had 4-window
fenestration when 2 houses. Some now blocked, all 2-light
chamfered mullioned casements with hoodmoulds and small pane
glazing. Two gabled roof dormers. Chimney to each original
parapet gabled end, left cut-down, right in brick with moulded cap.
Four-light casement to single-storey part to right. Later C19
addition to left has single-window 3-light mullioned casements and
doorway with 4-panel door and parapet gabled porch. West end:
segmental arched casement fenestration.
