SO 91 SW BRIMPSFIELD -

2/2 Stoneyhill Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse. Early C18. Limestone rubble with dressed openings;
plain tile roof to main range, stone slate to wing; red brick
chimneys. Two-storey with attic; one room either side of central
staircase hall; wings added to front and back at south end, both
single storey with attic. Three-window front with two-light
recessed chamfered mullioned windows either side of front doorway
which is ogee moulded; continuous hood mould steps up over deep
stone doorway lintel; two 3-light and central 2-light window in
upper floor; two double casement hipped roof attic dormers: both
C20; parapet gable at south end only. Projecting wing has C19
double casements with timber lintels. Back: plain except for 2-
light stair window; projecting wing has had a storey added in C19.
