Ruby and Fairview Cottages and Ardmore House

House, divided in two. Circa 1600 core, probably refaced c1700, altered and extended C19 and early C20. Brick in English bond, the returns of flint with red brick dressings. Pantile roof. 2 storeys, formerly 3 cell lobby entry plan, the entrance now blocked. 1st floor band. Boarded door to left hand cell. 3-light timber casements beneath segmental arches. 3 similar 3-light first floor windows. Blocked opening in front of stack. Axial brick stack, internal gable and stacks, that to right removed at ground floor, when early C20 canted bay added. Right hand gable has C17 and later layers of tumbling in. Left hand gable C18 apex.
Interior: Ardmore (right): Axial beam chamfered with bar stops, flat joists, central cell plain chamfered beam flat joists, left hand cell C20 floor replaced after fire. Original stack, part blocked to right. Stairs behind stack. Replaced butt purlin roof.
