1/13 Sherbourne House Farmhouse

House. Probably early Cl7, altered C19. Brick and timber-framing, pebble-
dashed on south and east sides, with tile roof. Two storeys. South side
has two projecting one-bay wings and recessed one-bay centre. The windows are C19
casements with glazing bars and timber mullions. Chimneys on left hand return wall
has one bay on each side of single-storey sandstone ashlar porch
which has rusticated pilasters. Above the porch, under a gable, is a small window.
The north wall is of three bays with exposed timber-framing in square panels and
brick infill. The right-hand window on the ground floor is a casement with leaded
glazing. The left-hand first floor window has a carved oak bracket supporting a
renewed oriel. The roof trusses have tie-beams, collars and v-struts.
