House and shop. C16 or early C17, with later alterations. Timber
framed. Ground floor chequered red and grey brick, first floor hung
with banded plain and fishscale tiles. Ground floor of right gable
end weatherboarded, first floor tile-hung. Plain tile roof.
Approximately 3 timber-framed bays. 2 storeys, garret and cellar.
Underbuilt jetty to at least left end of front elevation. Gabled.
Irregular fenestration of three 3-light leaded casements. Ribbed
door to Aysgarth to left of centre and half-glazed door to right of
centre, each up 3 steps, and under continuous plain-tile pentice.
Rear wing to left, probably C17; ground floor red brick, first floor
tile-hung, roof with lower ridge towards rear end, hipped to rear.
Rear lean-to to rest of main range. Interior: only partly inspected.
Moulded cross and axial beams, hollow-chamfered joists and evidence
for jetty, to left end room. Exposed joists to right, and to rear
wing.
